For me, a salon visit is about more than a haircut or color appointment. It's about feeling comfortable enough to be yourself, having a few good laughs, and leaving with hair that makes you feel like a badass.
After more than 15 years behind the chair, working in education, bridal, short hair, textured hair, and everything in between. I finally created The Coterie: a space where creativity, community, and self-expression come first.

I believe that looking and feeling your best are some of your greatest assets. After more than 15 years behind the chair, helping people love their hair is still my favorite part of what I do.
I began my career in 2011 and have been lucky enough to work exclusively in the Ann Arbor area. Since calling Ypsilanti home in 2009, it's always been a dream of mine to work here in the community I love.
When I'm not in the salon, you'll usually find me in the garden, out walking my dogs, or spending time with my daughter. I love meeting new people, staying connected, and being part of the amazing Ypsi community.
My favorite client relationships are the ones that grow over time. Great hair isn't usually created in a single appointment—it's built through trust, consistency, and a long-term plan. I love working with clients who are excited to invest in the journey and create hair that truly fits their lifestyle.
Ari- Trichologist/Non-Surgical Hair Replacement Specialist
I specialize in hair replacement and restoration services, blending my knowledge of hair and scalp health with a deep love for beauty and wellness.
In 2020, I made the leap from nursing school to hairstyling, realizing I could combine my interest in the body with my gift for making people feel seen, confident, and cared for.
For the past two years, I’ve worked as a non-surgical hair replacement specialist, and in 2023, I became a Certified Trichologist through the World Trichology Society. I’m so excited to now bring those services to The Coterie Stylist Lounge—a space built on creativity, connection, and care.
